Key Stage 2 or 3: Living in a diverse world
Curriculum Links: KS2: Citizenship (Unit 5) Geography, English KS3: Citizenship (Unit 3, 4, 9) Geography. Investigate migration using the current exhibition Eye of the Long Nose and resources brought together by local refugees. Key Stage 2: Refugee! How am I the same? How am I different?
Curriculum Links: Citizenship (Unit 5) Geography, English
Explore how we are connected with different countries by using objects brought together by refugees and the exhibition, Burma: Darkness in a Golden Land. Participants will use digital video to film a role-play of a migrant’s story from a positive and negative viewpoint.

Head of Steam, Darlington Railway Museum, 20 – 24 October
Key Stage 3: Identity: where are you from?
Curriculum Links: Art (Unit 7A & 9A) & Citizenship (Unit 3, 4, 9)
Explore identity and representation using portrait photography. Participants will investigate issues surrounding multiple identities by using objects brought together by young, local refugees.
